The following curriculum outcomes for the three lessons are taken from the Australian Curriculum.
Lesson 1
- ACTDIK001 – Identify, use and explore digital systems (hardware and software components) for a purpose
- ACTDIP004 – Follow, describe and represent a sequence of steps and decisions (algorithms) needed to solve simple problems
- ACMMG042 – Describe and draw two-dimensional shapes, with and without digital technologies
- ACSSU033 – A push or a pull affects how an object moves or changes shape
- ACSIS038 – Participate in guided investigations to explore and answer questions
Lesson 2
- ACTDIK001 – Identify, use and explore digital systems (hardware and software components) for a purpose
- ACTDIP004 – Follow, describe and represent a sequence of steps and decisions (algorithms) needed to solve simple problems
- ACMMG010 – Describe position and movement
- ACMMG023 – Give and follow directions to familiar locations
- ACSIS042 – Represent and communicate observations and ideas in a variety of ways
Lesson 3
- ACMMG019 – Measure and compare the lengths and capacities of pairs of objects using uniform informal units
- ACMMG042 – Describe and draw two-dimensional shapes, with and without digital technologies
- ACMMG045 – Investigate the effect of one-step slides and flips with and without digital technologies
- ACMSP047 – Identify practical activities and everyday events that involve chance. Describe outcomes as ‘likely’ or ‘unlikely’ and identify some events as ‘certain’ or ‘impossible’
- ACSIS039 – Use informal measurements to collect and record observations, using digital technologies as appropriate
- ACSIS042 – Represent and communicate observations and ideas in a variety of ways
